Fence stolen from Hope House in Midtown
MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Staff members need help finding their missing wrought iron fence from in front of Hope House in Midtown.
The heavy fence was laying on the ground after a sewer pipe broke and repairs were made.
A new driveway was installed and Hope House planned to put the fence back up until it disappeared.
Hope House posted a photo of the missing fence on Facebook saying, "Help! Half of our fence has been taken."
Lenox Warren with Hope House said supporters are already coming forward.
"We just put a message out on Facebook that if anybody has seen anything or can help repair it, we would love the assistance," said Warren.
Hope House is a non-profit that helps improve the quality of life for families impacted by HIV through education social, psychological and health needs. That is why the missing fence is so important.
“A lot of people are coming in very stressful and challenging situations and we want it to be warm and welcoming,” said Warren.
Hope House just received a donated makeover of its lobby from IKEA with new furniture and accessories.
“We want it back and if it comes back no questions asked. We’ll be grateful if it just showed up one day," said Warren.
