Officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission arrested a man for damaging a fence leading into a wildlife management area on Wednesday.
LEE COUNTY, Fla. - Officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission arrested a man for damaging a fence leading into a wildlife management area on Wednesday.
Authorities said James Wesley Brown cut the fence surrounding the Yucca Pens Wildlife Management Area in Lee County as he and three others were riding a utility terrain vehicle.
FWC officers saw this happen, and as a result, Brown was arrested and booked on charges of property damage.
The Yucca Pens Preserve is made up of five parcels of land located in northwest Lee County in Cape Coral. Significant portions of the habitat have been disturbed for various reasons, including off-road vehicle activity, according to FWC.
